About the Instructor:

Sandy Kazenko is a self taught mosaic artist who finds inspiration in the simplicity and vibrancy of nature. Over time her work has evolved from a mixture of stained glass and ceramic tiles to include tiles which are hand painted with alcohol inks, as well as hand made polymer clay tiles and embellishments. She uses the direct method of applying various forms of tesserea onto glass or wood before grouting. Sandy has been creating mosaics for over a decade, seeing the art form as a metaphor for life, and learning many techniques and lessons along the way.
