Two artists, two different routes to the same raw and honest place. In Down the Rabbit Hole, jeffrey equality brooks and Deborah Di Vita Glascott share a title, a wall, and a willingness to follow a feeling wherever it leads.

Jeffrey paints for the jolt of recognition. The moment you stop in front of a piece and think, I've felt exactly that. Drawn to the color and craft of pop art but wary of its cool detachment, he works in the spirit of "new sincerity," reaching past brand and celebrity for something truer and more human. His works are compulsively lookable and quietly disarming: bold on the surface, deeply felt underneath.

Deborah draws her inspiration from people and the places they inhabit — portraits, environments, and still lifes that begin in personal photographs and are reworked into something new. Through seductive color and a slightly skewed stylization, she lures the viewer into the picture, where each subject carries its own spirit, mood, and personality. The result is work that feels at once intimate and quietly alive.

The title emerged from the artists' own conversations about where this work was taking them. Following subject and feeling into unexpected territory, both found that Down the Rabbit Hole named the journey exactly.
