Home call for art is OPEN.

What is Home? How do we define it? Is it physical space, a tangible feeling, or a person? Does it serve us beyond utility? Does it offer a sense of safety and security? Is home something we are born into, or is it something we create? How does your “home” affect how you relate to the world?

Exhibit runs: August 14th - October 3rd
Submissions open: May 28th
Submissions close: July 19th
Artwork Drop-off: August 10th
Opening Reception: August 14th, 6-9pm
Artwork Pick-up: October 5th

We’re looking forward to seeing what you create. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the submission guidelines prior to completing the submission form.

Submission Requirements:

  • This call is open to area artists, ages 18+.

  • Works must be hand-delivered. Shipped work will not be accepted.

  • The fee for submissions is $25 for Annual Members of Water Street Studios and $35 for non-members of Water Street Studios.

    • Please make your payments HERE.

  • 2D artists may submit up to two works that do not exceed 40” in width, combined.

    • Alternatively, 2D artists may submit one work, up to 36” in width, but they are limited to one submission.

  • 3D artists may submit up to two works that do not extend outside the limits of a 12”x12” pedestal.

  • Work that has been exhibited at Water Street Studios previously will not be considered.

  • All submission pictures must be submitted in jpeg of png file types and must be saved in the following format: Artist Name_Artwork Title_Exhibit Name

  • Please submit high quality pictures with neutral backgrounds, so that we may feature work on our website and social media, if accepted.

  • Submissions close Sunday, July 19th at midnight.

  • Notifications of acceptance will go out on Friday, July 24th – please note that notifications may be delivered after business hours.

  • This show will be juried by the Community Gallery Committee. For questions about the jurying process – please visit our main landing page here.
