Marissa Amoni
Marissa Amoni is the owner of Marissa Bright PR, a public relations and event management company specializing in small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She is also the coordinator of Geneva Arts Fair, and she founded Alley Art Festival with a group of artists in 2010, which she continues to run on the last Saturday of August in downtown Aurora.
Coming from a marketing and writing background, Marissa created Downtown Auroran Magazine, an arts and culture magazine that she published for eight years. She then worked for Aurora Downtown for a decade, completing two commissioned murals by local artists, growing the arts and culture scene, and creating more than a dozen unique community events for the business organization to host, including First Fridays, Art and Market, Wednesdays at the Plaza, Food Truck Festival, and more. With a passion for community building, Marissa continues to connect people in the Fox Valley through events.
Marissa likes to spend her time in the kitchen, in the garden, on a bike path, at an art museum, or writing a press release. She also likes to read, bowl, watch movies, and listen to live music.
Marissa lives on the West Side of Aurora with her husband, Max, their teenage son, and their dog, Gunner. They also have a grown daughter who attends college.
